  Unique aspects of the iScope.

The iScope differs from these earlier efforts in some important ways.

1. The iScope microscopes will have a relatively simple configuration with one fixed objective and only two magnifications.

2. The iScopes will be designed specifically for high-magnification stereological analysis. They will complement the low- and medium-power images in the MBL.

3. There is one aspect of our iScope project that as far as we can tell is quite unique. We intend to make a large collection of slides avaiable for anlaysis using a slide handling carousel system.
